How I became a chiropractic assistant!

So, ever since Christmas was over I was wondering if I would still be working at Potterybarn... After much anticipation and worrying if I would need to find another job, I found out they decided to keep me!  I thought once the seasonal help left I would have gotten more hours...well, I was wrong! I started thinking again maybe I need a new job. The process began again of sending out resumes. (I really don't like doing this!) Nothing was coming back! God just didn't want me to get any of those.
This past week Sandy, Joe's mom, was injured skiing and needed to go to her chiropractor. When I stopped by to have lunch with Joe she came back from her appointment and said that her Dr. was looking for a new assistant. Sandy casually suggested I should consider it. I told her I was interested and after that everything happend so fast!
Sandy went back to her chiropractor and told her about me. Later that Wednesday Sandy told me to give the Dr. a call. I did... the next thing I knew she wanted me to come in for an interview that night! I went in fully equiped with my resume, cover letter, and letter of recommendation. The Dr. looked at it all, showed me around the office, told me what would be expected of me, and said, "if you can be here for Monday morning, you have the job." MONDAY! It was Wednesday and she wanted me on MONDAY! It was crazy! But I could not pass up this opportunity to learn something new and work in a steady job with benefits and good pay! I was so excited and nervous at the same time! I had only that night to think about it! After speaking with my mom, Joe, and Sandy, I decided that I can't close this door that seems God has opened so wide for me to just walk through.
So, it's the night before I start...I've been sick the whole weekend, missed Joe's Birthday celebration in Speculator, bought scrubs for the first time this weekend, got some pretty white shoes too.... and I'm a little nervous. The only thing that is making my nerves weaker is the fact that I know that God has a plan for me and if He wants me in this position He will be there helping me and supporting me. Thanks for all the prayers from family and friends!

  2. Thanks Care! And no I don't work 3 jobs, well not really. I don't work at Potterybarn anymore, but I will still have the kids Tuesday and Thursday after work and Leanna too.
