Rock Climbing

Up at Speculator for Memorial Day weekend. Spent a few hours at the rocks yesterday. I only made it a part of the way but Rachel, first time out, made it up at least twice. I took my job as the camera man much better! Check out Lindsay's pics on Facebook (those were mine). It was a crazy time full of Mark in tye dye spandex, matching bridesmaid dresses from I think the 80's, and sporadic rain showers. All in all a good time. But now I am full enjoying sitting by the water and listening to the waves!

Rain...

The rain seems to be a never ending occurence these days. However, I really appreciate the vibrant green that is coming from it! It is such a welcomed sight after the long winter. Also, it is keeping me inside doing things that need to get done: laundry, cleaning, wedding plans....

Speaking of wedding plans, they are going great! After probably 3 or 4 tries at coming up with my own invitation I think I finally decided on just the right one. I can't let you see it yet though, that will have to be a surprise. I've been looking endlessly (it seems) for a wedding dress online that I like and I have found a few I want to go try on. Just waiting for a few people to come home so they can go with. And it may be a bit crazy of me but I already bought some Thank You cards that I found at Target. They were just the perfect colors and style I couldn't pass them up. Here's hoping the rest of the planning goes smoothly!

How I became a chiropractic assistant!

So, ever since Christmas was over I was wondering if I would still be working at Potterybarn... After much anticipation and worrying if I would need to find another job, I found out they decided to keep me!  I thought once the seasonal help left I would have gotten more hours...well, I was wrong! I started thinking again maybe I need a new job. The process began again of sending out resumes. (I really don't like doing this!) Nothing was coming back! God just didn't want me to get any of those.
This past week Sandy, Joe's mom, was injured skiing and needed to go to her chiropractor. When I stopped by to have lunch with Joe she came back from her appointment and said that her Dr. was looking for a new assistant. Sandy casually suggested I should consider it. I told her I was interested and after that everything happend so fast!
Sandy went back to her chiropractor and told her about me. Later that Wednesday Sandy told me to give the Dr. a call. I did... the next thing I knew she wanted me to come in for an interview that night! I went in fully equiped with my resume, cover letter, and letter of recommendation. The Dr. looked at it all, showed me around the office, told me what would be expected of me, and said, "if you can be here for Monday morning, you have the job." MONDAY! It was Wednesday and she wanted me on MONDAY! It was crazy! But I could not pass up this opportunity to learn something new and work in a steady job with benefits and good pay! I was so excited and nervous at the same time! I had only that night to think about it! After speaking with my mom, Joe, and Sandy, I decided that I can't close this door that seems God has opened so wide for me to just walk through.
So, it's the night before I start...I've been sick the whole weekend, missed Joe's Birthday celebration in Speculator, bought scrubs for the first time this weekend, got some pretty white shoes too.... and I'm a little nervous. The only thing that is making my nerves weaker is the fact that I know that God has a plan for me and if He wants me in this position He will be there helping me and supporting me. Thanks for all the prayers from family and friends!
